VEHICLE REVIEW
climbing and traction performance, while a taller sixth gear supports fuel efficiency and reduced engine strain during long-distance travel. My test average fuel consumption was an undeniably thirsty 12l / 100km.
AN ENGAGING CABIN Inside, the Land Cruiser FJ introduces a cabin concept Toyota calls“ Functional Fun”, designed to make every journey intuitive, comfortable, and engaging.
The cockpit prioritises visibility, ergonomics, and ease of operation. Highlights include an eight-inch Display Audio system, a seven-inch TFT multiinformation display, a wide centre console, several practical storage areas, and knee pads for added comfort when driving offroad. A low-set instrument panel improves visibility, while the controls and gear lever are positioned within easy reach.
The FJ has a practical five-seat layout, with redesigned split-folding rear seats that slide and recline for greater versatility. Despite the vehicle’ s compact dimensions, it provides generous luggage space, making it well suited to active lifestyles, camping trips, and outdoor adventures.
THE VERDICT The Land Cruiser FJ is a very impressive off-roader, yet it is equally smooth and comfortable on tar. The 4x4 experience was thoroughly enjoyable and the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ gets my vote.
