PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS
Unless noted, all programs will take place in
the Children’s Library and are free of charge.
ARTchives
Wednesdays and Thursdays
3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
All ages welcome
You are art! Your neighborhood is your
canvas. Join the Carnegie Museum of Art
in family-friendly hands-on activities that
extend our voices, visions and creations.
Crafty Tuesday
Tuesdays
5 to 6:30 p.m.
All ages welcome
Create, make and imagine! Make everything
from paintings to paper crafts; friendship
bracelets to food.
Kids Clay Class
Bathhouse Ceramic Studio
Saturdays
2:30 to 4 p.m.
You will learn a full process of working with
clay, explore creative ideas, learn technical
skills and take a project from start to finish.
Parents encouraged to join.
Young Adult Autonomous Art Zone
(YAAAZ)
Neighborhood Print Shop
Wednesdays
4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Teens welcome
Come be in your creativity with like-minded
teens. Learn how to print your own posters,
t-shirts, album covers and more.
ADULT PROGRAMS
Design Time
Neighborhood Print Shop
Tuesdays
6 to 8 p.m.
Bring your imagination, your ideas, your
projects! This workshop teaches you the
computer skills to get your design ideas out
of your brain and ready for print. Adobe and
open-source design programs are taught.
First-come, first-served. Bring a thumb drive
or recordable CD if possible.
Zumba
Every Tuesday
6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Interested in a fun and upbeat workout?
Come and try Zumba, a dance and aerobic
workout that incorporates the choreography
of hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue
and mambo with body toning and sculpting
exercises. Suggested donation $5.
Yoga
Every Thursday
5 to 6 p.m.
This class is open to all skill levels and
will both relax and strengthen the body.
Please bring a mat if you own one; a few
are available for those who do not. Chair
adaptation available for those who need it.

African Dance Class
Every Thursday
6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
A partnership with the Legacy Arts Project
featuring Erin Perry.
Neighborhood Print Shop
Saturdays
9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Do you have a family reunion coming up and
want to print t-shirts, or a wedding and want
to make low-cost, original invitations? No
experience necessary. Reservations required:

Bathhouse Ceramics Studio

5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Open studio is ideal for those who want
to work independently while learning
how to work and create with clay. Utilize
all the resources of the studio to learn to
produce ceramic items ranging from cups to
sculptures. All skill levels welcome.
Free studio use for 15104 residents +
material cost or $10/visit, $50/eight visits.

in the library.
