SPECIAL EVENTS FOR ADULTS
Arts and Crafts Fair C. C. Mellor Library will, once again, be hosting its Annual Holiday Sale. The sale features a wide variety of high-end crafts including photography, jewelry, pottery, leatherwork, clothing and home accessories. Thirty local artists will show and sell their unique handmade items on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. in the ballroom of the Edgewood Community House. In addition, the Edgewood Garden Club will be selling greens. Orders can be made in advance and forms are available at the library. January Tea Party Join the fun on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p. m. in the living room of the Edgewood Community House for tea and a program. The Friends of the Library will serve scrumptious homemade tea sandwiches, scones and sweets. Cost is $ 20. Proceeds benefit library programming. Make reservations by calling 412.731.0909.

Edgewood Gingerbread Houses Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 7:30 p. m. Do you delight in family creative moments? Come share one with the age-old tradition of gingerbread houses! There is a $ 5 per family fee for this program. Please register online.
Breakfast with Mrs. Claus Saturday, Dec. 17, 11 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. Come join Mrs. Claus for stories and pancakes. Please register online for this program.
Full STEAM Ahead In January, CCM is starting a new sciencebased storytime for pre-school children. We are still working out all of the details so please check our website for details.
Growing Readers A storytime especially for children learning their first reading skills. Growing Readers focuses on beginning reader skills through the lens of play. Recommended for children ages 3 to 5. No registration necessary. Growing Readers is offered every Thursday at 10:30 a. m.
Maker Mornings STEM skills and making stuff? What could be better? Saturdays, Jan. 28 & Feb. 25, 11 a. m. For children ages 9- 12. Please register online.

Almost Camp Out Friday, Jan. 27, from 7 to 8:30 p. m. Kids ages 5 through 8 with a grownup.
Join the fun for an after-hours program at the library! Kids and caregivers will be building forts, roasting marshmallows and generally having an Almost Camp Out. Please register online.
FOR KIDS AT THE FOREST HILLS LIBRARY
Science Fridays On the second Friday morning of each month at 10:30 a. m., come to the Forest Hills Library to participate in hands-on science experiments. This program is geared toward school-age, home-schooled children. Call by the previous Wednesday to secure your spot or email Forest Hills Library to be placed on the email reminder list.
Intergenerational Craft Night Craftspeople of all ages are invited to drop by with a favorite handwork project for crafting and company on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p. m. Work could include knitting, crochet, or anything else portable that you’ d like to bring. Crafting books will be available to learn more. All skill levels are welcome. Upcoming dates are Dec. 7, Jan. 4, Feb. 1 and Mar. 1.
