20th ANNUAL ‘BOOK BUCKS’
AUCTION
Sunday, May 17, 1 to 5 p.m.
Calling ALL local readers: Swissvale
Library’s own reader rewards program
is currently in progress, and the date for
our incredible 20th Annual Book Bucks
Auction is rapidly approaching. Turn in
your reading lists by Friday, May 15, and
prepare yourself for that crazy, festive
event. Readers old and young will bid on
over 100 items, paying with our unique
currency, “Book Bucks.” It’s not too late
to pick up a reading list form (available
at the desk) and start earning big Book
Bucks!
LITTLE LISTENERS
Too young for Book Bucks? Read to
your young ones, and when they turn in
lists of 15 books they listened to, they will
choose a prize from the basket! You will
both have fun, and your little listener will
learn and gain listening and reading skills
at the same time.
ARE YOU OUR NEXT COMPUTER
TUTOR?
Our wonderful Computer Tutor,
Carolyn Luck, has retired. We’re looking
for a new Computer Tutor, someone
who is confident and skilled with the
computer and other devices, and who
enjoys sharing that knowledge with
beginning technology users. This is
a once-per-week daytime volunteer
activity. Interested? Contact Kate at
[email protected].
DISPLAY YOUR ARTWORK AT
THE LIBRARY
You may have noticed that we
frequently display beautiful artwork by
local artists. If you’re interested in having
your own artistic creations displayed,
contact Kate at the library.
