Adopt-a-Book Party
Don’ t be late for this very important date! Join us for a whimsical wonderland evening at our Adopt-a-Book party at 6 p. m. on Friday, Sept. 11. Tickets are available in advance for $ 10 at ccmellorlibrary. org, or at the door for $ 15.
Adopt-a-Book is an after-hours fundraising event where our community enjoys food, drink, and conversation while perusing hundreds of adoptable books to grow the library’ s collections. There are books of all genres and for all ages so that everyone can find a book that speaks to them.
The Adopt-a-Book Party is a part of CCM’ s fundraising efforts during Allegheny County Love Your Library month, taking place every September. Throughout the month, any donations made to the library will be eligible for a pro-rated match thanks to the generosity of the Jack Buncher Foundation.
Coming Fall 2026
There are some exciting changes coming to CCM Edgewood this fall as we begin a renovation project on our historic building. The project will address a number of pressing needs, including a roof replacement, second floor transformation and accessibility and safety improvements. Keep an eye on our website and social media for more information about how construction will impact library services and programs for the duration of the renovations.
Our full slate of regular programs continue, including: Baby Talk, Family Storytime, Music and Movement Storytime, Makerspace Monday, The Wanderers,
Forest Hills Social Hour, Knitting Group, Conversation Salon, Fourth Tuesday Book Club, Drop Dead Book Club, Great Outdoors Book Club, Mahjong and Crafting Circle.
