September is Love Your Library month! Show your love for your local library by participating in special programs or donating to help us unlock matching funds. In addition to our regular programs, we will be hosting an open mic night, a trivia night, a game day, and participating in Braddock’ s Art Crawl on Sept. 11!
Our Youth Connector Out-of-School Time Program will begin on 9 / 8 so please reach out to find out more details and how to enroll your child.
In October, we will be participating in North Braddock’ s Fall Festival on 10 / 4( located on Bell Ave. between Jones and Verona) and in Braddock’ s Art Crawl on 10 / 9.
In November, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will host a youth engagement program on 11 / 7 and Byron Stripling, principal pops conductor at the PSO, will be speaking on 11 / 12. Stay tuned for information about our Jingle, Mingle & Market and more!

u Ceramics Wheel Throwing Wednesdays, 3 to 6 p. m. Reserve a ceramic wheel for an hour at a time. $ 10 / hour; free for residents of our service area. Tools, clay, glaze, kiln firing included – just bring your imagination! u Mommy, Mud & Me Tuesdays, 11:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. A hands-on ceramics program designed for caregivers and young children to explore working with clay together. For children 3-9 with an adult. Free.
FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH
u Creative Collective @ Carnegie One Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p. m. CREATE. BUILD. PLAY. PERFORM. LEVEL UP. A place to imagine, create, and play together! A fun, welcoming space to explore creativity, try new things, work on projects, and be part of a community. Activities will range from maker projects to active games to digital play and beyond. For youth in grades K-12; children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Free.
FOR ALL AGES
u Ceramics Handbuilding Wednesdays, 3 to 5:30 p. m. Express your imagination, feelings or story. Learn basic handbuilding techniques as you shape, sculpt, and add texture to your design. No experience needed; materials are provided, and finished pieces will be kilnfired. $ 20 per person includes everything. All ages 5 +; children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
