A Letter to Residents

From Borough of Jefferson Hills Manager John Stinner

Dear Jefferson Hills Residents , est Jefferson Hills BOROUGH OF JEFFERSON HILLS NEWS

As we near the end of one of the strangest years in recent memory , I am constantly reminded what an excellent community the Borough of Jefferson Hills is through both our staff ’ s work and that of our residents . Despite the many challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic , the Borough perseveres and continues to make forward progress as a community .
Once again , we are highlighting a valuable service project provided by the Borough ’ s emerging leaders and service organizations . Boy Scout Ryan Graves , with the help of his troop , renovated the entrance sign at Andrew E . Reilly Memorial Park . Throughout the planning , design , and construction , Ryan was forced to adapt his project because of COVID-19-related constraints . Undeterred , he and his troop turned in a completed project that enhanced one of the Borough ’ s public parks . Well done !
As an end-of-the-year wrap up , we included a summary of the Borough ’ s major capital , operations , and maintenance projects for 2020 . Please notice improvements to the baseball fields , as well as new amenities like the Beedle Park Concession Stand and expanded ADA parking at Andrew E . Reilly Memorial Park . These are great projects that you contributed to through your tax dollars and generations to come will enjoy . Thank you !
Finally , I want to personally thank Police Chief Gene Roach and our Library Director Jan Reschenthaler for their many years of service to not only the Borough of Jefferson Hills , but the entire South Hills community . Since joining the Jefferson Hills staff 18 months ago , I could not have been blessed with two better professionals to help acclimate me . Each will be missed by their individual departments and by the staff as a whole . May both enjoy their retirements ! May all of your holiday seasons be safe , happy , and healthy .
Sincerely ,
John P . Stinner Manager , Borough of Jefferson Hills
