PHMS 7th Grade Students Experience the“ College Life”
Seventh grade students had the opportunity to spend a day on a college campus and see everything it entails. Our goal is to encourage students to think about life after middle school and high school and what role a college education can play. We would like to thank Penn State / Greater Allegheny and California University of Pennsylvania for hosting campus visits as part of the Career Education program at PHMS. The students participated in campus tours and discussions about college majors, campus life, and university services. Tony Gomez from Penn State and Barry Bilitski from California University organized and hosted the campus visits. A tour of the University of Pittsburgh was provided by the PHMS staff. The campus visits will be an annual event as part of the seventh grade Career Education program.
