Gill Hall Park and GBU Center See New Improvements
Gill Hall Park has seen several upgrades over the past few months, bringing improvements both to the playground area and inside the Gill Hall Community Center( GBU).
Those visiting the park will notice a refreshed playground, complete with a new playground pad and updated play equipment. Throughout May, the Public Works Department prepared the site by removing the old equipment, leveling the area, installing the base, and getting the park ready for construction. In June, Jeffrey Associates delivered and installed the new playground equipment, giving families and children an updated space to enjoy for years to come.
Inside the GBU, residents may have noticed a much-needed refresh to the facility. While discussions about larger future renovations continue, several recent upgrades helped give the building new life and improve the overall space for community use.
Recent improvements included fresh paint, a deep clean, a replaced ceiling, new bathroom flooring and toilets, updated lighting and electrical work, plumbing upgrades, and sewer repairs. Much of the work was completed in-house by the Borough’ s Public Works crew alongside several local contractors, including Dynamic Drywall, Pellegrini Electric, Riteway Solutions, and Virgin Carpets.
These improvements at Gill Hall Park are just the beginning of many recreation upgrades throughout Jefferson Hills.
