This summer, Jefferson Hills Public Library invites readers of all ages to join in the celebration of creativity, imagination, and expression with the 2025 Summer Reading Program theme Color Our World.
The Summer Reading Program encourages children, teens, and adults to explore stories that inspire, challenge, and entertain. Participants can track their reading, attend engaging programs, and experience hands-on activities that bring the theme to life. Beginning on June 16 and running through August 7, the library will host a full schedule of events and activities designed for all ages.
Summer Programming:
• Baby and Me Storytime – Tuesdays at 10:30 a. m.
• Toddler Storytime – Wednesdays at 10:30 a. m.
• Grades K-6 Activity – Wednesdays at 1:00 p. m.
• Crafternoons – 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 1:30 p. m. to 3:30 p. m.
• Tween Social Hour – June 16, July 14, and August 11, at 2:00 p. m.
• Summer Movie Showings – June 17 and 24, July 15 and 22, and August 12 & 19, at 2:00 p. m.
• Pittsburgh Botanic Garden – Monday, July 28.
• End of Summer BBQ – Thursday, August 7.
SUMMER READING AT JEFFERSON HILLS PUBLIC LIBRARY
In addition, patrons who visit the library will notice our signature summer reading prize baskets. Beginning June 16, and continuing through Thursday, August 7, a raffle ticket will be given at checkout for a chance to win one of the baskets( limit one ticket per day).
