TJ Athletes Prepare for Next Chapter on Signing Days

School Board Approves Stadium Turf Project
On Tuesday, January 28, the West Jefferson Hills School Board approved a project that will bring new turf to Thomas Jefferson Stadium following the spring sports season. The approvals, subject to solicitor reviews, were for Force Turf Solutions, Inc. to remove the existing turf and for Keystone Sports Construction to purchase, supply, and install the synthetic turf. The project through COSTARS, Pennsylvania’ s cooperative purchasing program, totals approximately $ 435,000 and will be funded by the district’ s Capital Projects Fund.
The existing synthetic turf field is beyond its lifespan. Work will begin at the conclusion of the spring sports season and will be completed in time for Commencement at Thomas Jefferson Stadium in June.
