saw a rash of thefts
from unlocked vehicles
on private property in
a number of Borough
neighborhoods.
Remember to lock
your vehicles, take
your keys, and remove
valuables from your
vehicles. Anyone with information about these crimes is
asked to call the JHPD.

Drivers should note that the
only place that students may be
dropped off or picked up at or near
Thomas Jefferson High School is
the high school student parking lot
on Chamberlain/Coal Valley Road.
Please be aware that Borough
police officers will ticket drivers
not following this directive for the
safety of all.
Sergeant Potts Retires After 34 Years of Service
to Jefferson Hills Police Force
Sergeant William A. Potts
retired from the Jefferson Hills
Police Force the last week of
July after 34 years of service
to the Borough of Jefferson
Hills including 29 years as a
Sergeant. At the August 8
Council meeting, Sergeant
Potts accepted a plaque and
retirement badge from Police
Chief Gene Roach. Mayor Jan
Cmar also presented Sergeant
Potts with a proclamation,
commending him for “thirtyfour years of dedicated and
faithful public service.”
Thank you for your service to
Jefferson Hills, Sgt. Potts, and
we wish you a long, happy and
healthy retirement.
