On Friday, July 3, there will be fireworks and more at the Recreation & Sports Complex at Leopold Lake in Imperial.
Gates will open at 5 p. m. and the fireworks will begin at approximately 9:45 p. m.
This free event for the public will have music along with food trucks offering everything from barbeque to ice cream and pizza.

SUMMER CONCERT IN THE PARK
Don’ t miss the West Hills Symphonic Band when they play at the Recreation & Sports Pavilion in Imperial on Tuesday, July 28. The concert begins at 7 p. m. and should conclude by 8:30.

If you’ d like to clean out your closets and make a little cash, or find some great deals, an outdoor flea market will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Clinton Community Park from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. It’ s only $ 5 to attend or to sell. The gates open at 7 a. m. to allow sellers time to set up.
If you like finding unusual items that aren’ t in stores, it’ s a good place to browse. As the saying goes,“ One man’ s trash is another man’ s treasure.”
DOGS FOR VETERANS
On May 16, Steelers great and U. S. Army veteran Rocky Bleier attended the 4th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser for Life Changing Service Dogs for Veterans.
The event raises funds to provide highly trained service dogs at no cost to veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other disabilities. The tournament was held at the Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway.

CHATHAM UNIVERSITY AND WEST ALLEGHENY SCHOOL DISTRICT COLLAB
Chatham University announced a new dual-credit enrollment program in Chatham’ s immersive media program with West Allegheny School District.
This will allow high school students to take immersive media( IMM) courses at their school and, upon completion of each course, earn three college credits from Chatham.
These courses will be taught by a West Allegheny teacher using materials created by Chatham’ s IMM faculty and
