Save the date for the ever-popular
“Fall for Your Library” event! As the
library’s largest fundraiser, this food
& wine pairing event attracts nearly
300 adults from the library’s service
area and beyond. It will be held at
Celebrations, and weather permitting will
be an outdoor extravaganza. Mark your
calendars and look for details to come!

we receive?
HERE ARE THE FACTS:
Library cards are free. Anyone can have
a library card, even babies!
The more items you check out, and the
more people who have library cards, the
more funding the library receives. There
are 38,000 items in our library alone,
but access to over a million, including a
growing library of downloadable books,
magazines, videos, and music.
For 2019, the library has set a goal of
150,000 checkouts. You can help reach

Kickoff! This year the library is teaming
up with Remake Learning Days and
WQED to present a “Day of Making.”

to Read, Play, Explore, Discover, and
Make at the library! As an added bonus,
attendees will get a first chance to register

Vendor & Craft sale, featuring a variety of
vendors and crafts of all kinds.

the purchase of a home. In this program,
presenter Mark Palmer will discuss
various planning tools and techniques
to help families prepare for this cost.

POINTILLIST LANDSCAPE
PAINTINGS
Sunday, May 19, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Join local artist Elizabeth Blair and
learn simple techniques that will help you
create your own Pointillist Landscape.
You’ll be using acrylic paints on canvas
to create your masterpiece. This is a great
way to spend time with your teenager as
it’s designed for ages 13 and up. $15 per
person to cover cost of supplies. Please
call with a credit card or stop by the
library to sign up; payment required on
registration.
