Upcoming Support Groups CIRCLES OF HOPE: FAMILIES GROWING THROUGH GRIEF Take the opportunity to connect with others who share a similar experience, identify and learn healthy ways of coping with grief as well as honoring your loved ones. Dinner will be provided as a time for families to talk and share. Free childcare is available by appointment. Please call Tammy at 970-292-1072 to arrange. Second Monday of each month, 6-8 p.m. Monthly, ongoing NEWLY BEREAVED SUPPORT GROUP This group focuses on surviving the early days of loss and is geared toward grieving persons in the first six months of grief. Registration required. $30 fee for group; no cos t for Pathways families. Tuesdays: Dec. 6, 13, 20 – 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 3, 10, 17 – 3:30-5 p.m. ON OUR OWN A Widowed Person’s Discussion Group – This ongoing group offers an opportunity to find practical guidance and hope. You may share your story, exchange coping skills and receive encouragement from other people who are rebuilding their lives after the death of a spouse. No fee, no registration required. Meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. December 14: Ways to remember and honor your loved one January: 11: Intentions and healing for the new year 4 | MEN’S GRIEF SUPPORT Grief support group for men who have experienced the loss of loved one. This discussion group will address the unique and important issues that men experience when going through the grief process. Third Thursday of each month, 8-9:30 a.m. Monthly, ongoing HEALING HeARTs Open Studio and Knitting Group: This group is available for anyone interested in working on memorial art projects, knitting or any other craft. This group is for anyone who is looking for space and time to dedicate to their projects in a supportive environment. Participants may bring their own supplies to work with or use the donated supplies Pathways will have available for the group. There is a $10 suggested donation if using supplies from the Pathways studio. This group meets every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon at Pathways. PAT H WAY S I N - TO U C H N E W S L E T T E R N O V E M B E R 2 0 1 6 BEREAVED PARENT SUPPORT GROUP This is a four week group designed to support parents who have experienced the death of a child of any age or due to any type of loss. Participants will share ideas and learn ways to manage the intensity of their grief process. Meets on Thursdays for four weeks, 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays Jan. 26 Feb. 2, 9, 16 $50 per individual/$75 per couple Registration required CARRYING THE LIGHT INTO THE NEW YEAR The Friends of the Labyrinth at Pathways invite you to our annual celebration of the season of rest. The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year and a time to celebrate the increased daylight to come. This event is free and open to everyone. Available activities include walking the labyrinth, reflecting on your walk experience through creative activities, enjoying silent contemplation, and sharing hot cider with friends by the fireside. Light snacks will be provided. Sunday, Dec. 18, 4-6 p.m.
