Corrimal artist Paul Dorin will spend the next few weeks thinking about Geoff Huegill ' s pants.
This year is a milestone for Mr Dorin, with Commonwealth Games gold medallist Huegill providing the 20th pair of celebrities ' jeans he has painted to raise funds for Jeans For Genes Day.
" It ' s now getting to 18 years with Jeans For Genes," Mr Dorin said.
" Every year I had the car registration, the tax due and me painting a pair of jeans. It ' s become a routine."
Mr Dorin has worked as a cartoonist for almost 30 years, contributing to The Bulletin, Australasian Post and Woman ' s Day. Since throwing paint on a pair of jeans owned by NRL legend Brad Fittler in 1995, Mr Dorin has lent his cartoonish style to denim donated by Robin Williams, Ricky Ponting, David Hasselhoff, Frances McDormand and James Belushi.
" But my all-time favourite was Rolf Harris," Mr Dorin said of his 2006 effort on the jeans Harris wore while painting Queen Elizabeth ' s portrait.
" I grew up being inspired by his artistic abilities. I remember watching him on TV and how quick he was able to pick up a brush and make something in minutes."
