Shuffle. Through efforts of the district, $1,800 was
raised for the AHA this year. District resident and parent,
Stacy Hurt, spoke to the middle school Lion Hearts
regarding her journey with colon cancer and assisted
the students with spearheading a districtwide blue
out held on March 24 to build awareness. Students at
the intermediate school supported fellow Lion Heart
Club members who participated in the March of Dimes
for babies born prematurely. The intermediate school
Lion Hearts sold jean pockets and raffle tickets for
emoji prizes and raised $140 for the March of Dimes.
Thank you to all of the students, staff, parents, and
administration in supporting these efforts of the Lion
Hearts districtwide.
