ENJOY PANCAKES FOR HALLOWEEN ! KIWANIS CLUB OF GLENSHAW SPONSORS PANCAKE BREAKFAST October 30 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Shaler Area Middle School Cafeteria 1810 Mt . Royal Boulevard The breakfast includes pancakes , eggs , juice , sausage , milk , coffee , or tea for a donation of $ 7.00 per adult and $ 3.00 for children under 12 . Tickets can be purchased at the door . The proceeds from this Pancake Breakfast will support the Kiwanis Club of Glenshaw community service programs in the Shaler Area .
HOLIDAY TOY COLLECTION November 8 - December 8 North Hills Community Outreach Every holiday season , NHCO holds a toy collection allowing thousands of children in need to have a memorable holiday . Last year , 797 Children received new toys , games , and other gifts for the holidays . We expect more children will need presents this year . Here are a few toy and gift ideas :
• Gift cards for clothing stores , etc . ( teens loves these !)
• Board games
• Puzzles Books , movies , video games
• Plush blankets
• Bath / body items

SHALER GARDEN CLUB NEW BRONZE STATUE
Dedicated In Celebration of Shaler Garden Club ’ s Centennial
The Shaler Garden Club is pleased to donate a bronze statue , “ Nurturing Heart ”, in celebration of their 100th anniversary . The charming statue depicts a young girl with a watering can , tending the garden which surrounds her . The statue was installed on September 10 , 2021 in the garden at the main entrance of the Shaler North Hills Library . The unveiling ceremony took place on Friday , September 17th . The club wishes to thank Shaler Township ’ s Assistant Manager Judy Kording , Mike Garver and the Recreation Department crew for building the base and installing the work . Please stop by to have a look at the new addition .
