ANNUAL PINE CREEK CLEANUP
Saturday, April 4 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
All are welcome to volunteer. Meet at 8:00 AM at the baseball
field next to the Hampton VFD, 2536 Duncan Avenue in Allison
Park. Clean-up will include the creek banks from North Park in
Hampton to the Shop’n Save in Shaler and is sponsored by the
Allison Park Sportsmen’s Club. Gloves, vests, and garbage bags, as
well as lunch, will be provided to all volunteers. Lunch provided

CHILDREN’S FISHING AT FAWCETT FIELDS
April 18 at 8:00 AM – Opening Day
The Children’s Fishing area at Fawcett Fields will be stocked
with fish by Trout Unlimited for the opening day. Allison Park
Sportsmen’s Club members will be on hand to provide assistance,
share bait and to offer the loan of fishing rods. The fishing area is
designated for children under the age of 12 and accompanied by
an adult.
KIWANIS CLUB PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, juice, sausage and your
choice of milk, coffee or tea for a donation of $7.00 per adult or
$3.00 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased from a
Kiwanis member or at the door. The proceeds will support the
Kiwanis Club of Glenshaw community service programs in the
Shaler Area.

Hardy perennials from member’s gardens will be offered at
bargain prices, along with herbs, vegetables, houseplants, potted
arrangements and bulbs. A basket auction bake sale and flea
market add to the festivities. Children can enjoy face painting,
games and craft activities. Kids can even decorate a pot and plant
a flower in it as a special Mother’s Day gift for $1.00. Admission
is free. Come rain or shine. Proceeds benefit community projects
and philanthropic donations of the Shaler Garden Club. For more

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE

Mt. Royal Cemetery by the flagstaff
Shaler American Legion Post 785 and VFW Post 9199 will
conduct the annual Memorial Day Service, to help remember the
military service people who helped perpetuate the freedoms and
way of life our great country enjoys. Volunteers are needed to
place flags on veteran graves the preceding Friday, May 22 at 9:30
AM, 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
Shaler American Legion Post 785 plans to have remaining
memorial bricks purchased in 2019 installed at the Veterans’
Monument at Shaw Place by Memorial Day.
