2025 TOWNSHIP TAXES
The 2025 Township Taxes were mailed to residents on April 1st. If you have not received a tax bill yet and should have, contact Erin Bartkins at ebartkins @ shaler. org or at( 412) 486-9700.
REMINDER FROM THE SANITARY SEWER DEPARTMENT
Please do not bury any manholes in the Township with dirt, trees, grass clippings, etc. The Sanitary Sewer Department will be doing sanitary inspections throughout the year.

ASSISTANT MANAGER RECEIVES CAREER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
On April 16, 2025, Judy Kording, Shaler Township’ s Assistant Manager, received the Governor’ s Award for Local Government Excellence, Career Achievement Award, in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
Judy has worked for Shaler Township since 1988 serving first as the Director of Finance and Administration and was then promoted to Assistant Manager in 2019. In her 37 years, she has assisted with many intergovernmental cooperation agreements, including the transition of the Newcom Dispatch Center to Allegheny County 9-1-1 Dispatch, and the merger of Hampton Shaler Water Authority.
In 2017, she began improving community events in Shaler Township and has created community favorites such as Movies in the Park, Float with a Flick, Fall Fest, and“ Lite” Up Night, just to name a few. She also oversees a robust recreation program that includes a community pool with activities for all ages, and is always willing to work with community groups to improve their perspective of the Township and share Township news with many organizations.
