Lights on Afterschool! Boys & Girls Club Fosters Learning and Connection
Hosted at Scott Primary School, Boys & Girls Club is a place filled with arts, meals, mentors, sports, STEM, and more. From morning to evening, kids are listened to and surrounded by community. This year, Boys & Girls Club at Scott Primary celebrated Lights on Afterschool. This nationwide event hosted by the Afterschool Alliance shines a light on after-school programs and the crucial role they play in the lives of children, families and communities.
This year we celebrated with our partners from APOST, WQED, and Paddy Cakes. We created spooky cookies provided by Paddy Cakes and watched a sneak preview of the new PBS Kids show Carl the Collector, screened by our friends at WQED.
