Sergeant Joshua Logan grew up locally and graduated from Shaler Area High School. From there he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Seton Hill University. He then attended the Allegheny County Police Training Academy where he completed his Act 120 Certification. Sgt. Logan started his career in West Deer Township and most recently worked for the Shaler Township Police Department for the past eight years. Throughout his career, he has received multiple certifications and commendations of service. Sgt. Logan is married and owns a home locally where he and his wife are raising two young children.
Officer Manuel Pihakis lives locally and graduated from Canon McMillan High School. He then pursued his law enforcement career and attended Act 120 training at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy where he graduated in 2010. Officer Pihakis worked for several agencies part-time before being hired in Homestead Borough where he has worked full-time since 2017. Officer Pihakis holds a national certification as a School Resource Officer and certified as an instructor for Standard Field Sobriety Testing, Axon Taser, and ALICE. Officer Pihakis is also raising a young daughter.
