The Reserve Township Board of Commissioners approved a water rate increase to quarterly customer service charges and volume consumption charges, effective January 1, 2025. Reserve Township purchases all its water from PGH2O, and the Township has increased customer rates to cover these rising costs. Reserve Township also pays Allegheny County Sanitary Authority( ALCOSAN) for sewage treatment and needed to increase this rate to pass through their increased rate. The breakdown of all charges will be reflected in all March 2025 bills.
Reserve Township is actively seeking grant opportunities for infrastructure upgrades.
ATTENTION: Information on the new billing system and how to create a new account will be sent with the March 2025 water bill. You will need to create a new account even if you had an account with our old billing portal.
Service line leaks: Many residents of the Township have experienced service line leaks in their private service lines these past few months. Please note that by Ordinance, the homeowner is responsible for all repairs starting at the connection to the main; this would include any leaks between the main and the customers’ curb box. All service line repairs need to be made within a reasonable timeframe to reduce the cost of any unmetered water, since the loss must then be spread across all water customers.
