SEWICKLEY NATIVE SERVES WITH U. S. NAVY MEDICINE IN SPAIN
Connor Mangan, a Sewickley native and graduate of Quaker Valley High School, is currently serving with the U. S. Navy at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command in Rota, Spain. A student at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Mangan is completing an advanced clerkship while preparing for a future in military medicine.
Inspired by family members’ service, he has spent the past three years developing both medical and leadership skills, with a focus on caring for service members around the world.
Following graduation this spring, Mangan and his spouse, Ensign Megan McLaughlin, will continue their training as family medicine residents at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in California, expanding their commitment to serving those who serve.

PITTSBURGH STEPPING OUT TO CURE SCLERODERMA WALK JUNE 6
The second annual Pittsburgh Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma walk will take place June 6 at McClelland Pavilion in North Strabane Township in the South Hills, bringing together patients, families and supporters to raise awareness and funds for the rare autoimmune disease.
Hosted as part of the National Scleroderma Foundation Mid-Atlantic Chapter’ s efforts, the event is expected to draw hundreds of participants and build on last year’ s success with a goal of raising $ 35,000.

PITTSBURGH MUSIC FESTIVAL TO TAKE PLACE JULY 11 – 12
The inaugural Pittsburgh Music Festival will take place July 11 & 12 at Pittsburgh Brewing Company, bringing together a wide range of local musicians for a two-day celebration of music and community.
Organized by longtime Pittsburgh music leaders, the event will feature multiple stages, diverse genres and a strong lineup of regional talent, while raising funds and awareness for Band Together Pittsburgh and Autism Pittsburgh.
Building on the legacy of the Pittsburgh Blues and Roots Festival, the new event will expand its reach and create a vibrant, community-centered experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
