Summer Notes
As summer approaches, the Township is extremely busy with our Parks and Rec programming and planning for and implementing our community events – the Independence Day parade, fireworks and Community Day!! Here are some highlights and items of note:
• The Township will continue to celebrate Independence Day with a parade in Perrysville on Sunday, July 1, 2018 with fireworks later that night at dusk.
• A new and improved Ross Township Community Day will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Please mark your calendar with this date; more details will follow soon.
• The Township’ s Movie in the Park series continues again this summer!! Please find the full schedule elsewhere in this issue of In Ross Township.
• The Township has rolled out a new website that is much more user friendly and will improve openness, transparency and communication. I encourage you to visit the Township website at www. ross. pa. us where you can sign up to stay informed about the various opportunities, issues and activities within the Township.
• Road paving will continue throughout the summer. The Board of Commissioners budgeted $ 1.5 million for road paving work. Please check the Township website or connect with your Commissioner directly to see if your street is on the list of those to be paved this year.
• The Township is continuing the Military Banner Program that started last year. Currently, banners are displayed on Babcock Boulevard between Three Degree Road and Rochester Road. Applications are now available on the Township website if you wish to participate in this program.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other Ross Township Commissioner. The Commissioners are here to serve you, the residents of Ross Township. The Township administration and the Commissioners cannot do it alone. We count on you to help us better understand the issues facing Ross Township and to make Ross Township a great place to live, work, play and raise a family!!!
