ARCHERY UPDATE: ROSS RECREATION
PROGRAMMING
We’ve been gathering information and contact people to together
a certified Archery Program. The first class will be designed for 12
years of age and up.
Outside Program at the Ross Municipal Center Open Field in the
planning stages
Please let the Recreation Department know if you would be
interested in taking archery lessons, and what would be the best
after-school or weekend time to attend. Call CB at the Recreation
Department at 412.931.7055 x233 if you, too, have an interest in
learning this ancient art.
We have had a great response to our initial request for interest in
participating in an Archery Program. We plan to start the program
in September of this year.
SUMMER ACOUSTIC NIGHTS
This past fall and winter, a group of acoustic performers
held ‘Open Mic Nights’ at the Ross Community Center
in the newly‑improved Active Lounge. Please call CB at
412.931.7055 x248 if you are a budding (or seasoned) artist and
would like to join the performing arts group that is emerging.
We are also open to additional youth programs in the Active
Lounge – some ideas are comedy night, political debate night,
environmental club night, etc. Please give us your thoughts and
ideas. There’s a good chance yours will top ours!
