A Record Breaking Track Season
This year, Mustangs set a number of new track records. Jayden Bruce broke the Plum Middle School 110m hurdle record, running 15.6— breaking his own record from earlier in the season.
Addison Diano broke the Plum Middle School 1600m record and the 3200m records this year, running the 1600 in 5:37.87 and the 3200 in 12:58.21.
Mareana Pilyih Named National NCAA Rookie of the Year
Plum Senior High School alumna Mareana Pilyih has earned one of the season’ s top honors from the National Tenpin Coaches Association. The freshman at Saint Vincent College was named the NCAA Division III National Rookie of the Year in women’ s bowling.
Plum Alumna Plays in March Madness
When teams took the court for March Madness, Plum Senior High School alumna Kennedie Montue was among them, playing for Arkansas State. Playing basketball at the highest level has long been her ambition.“ It is what I wanted to do my whole life,” explains Montue. Playing in March Madness was a culmination of years of diligent work, on and off the court. She shares,“ It was my dream come true, I have dreamt about that moment my entire life. It was so fun and just a true blessing.”
Splitting time in the setup and anchor roles, Pilyih recorded the team’ s top season average, 191.3, bowling 105 games for the season. She threw strikes on more than 40 % of her throws, and was one of the nation’ s leaders in spare shooting among individuals.
Poe-tic Fun
ARTS
Plum Senior High School GATE students showcased their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a setting inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’ s works.
The students tackled a variety of imaginative challenges, including word games like anagrams and word chains, songwriting, and even building a raven out of recyclable materials. They also performed skits inspired by Poe’ s“ The Raven” and Stevie Nicks’ s“ Annabel Lee.”
One of the teams placed third in the competition! Every student gave their best effort, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and creativity throughout the day.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Plum Senior High School’ s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat delighted audiences, with its vibrant costumes and sets, energized performances, and spectacular songs.
One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. This magical production is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
