hen it comes to the exterior of your home, nobody does
a better job than Bella Construction. It was started in
1995 by Matt Bell, who struck out into the world of home
improvement with the help of his grandmother, putting roofs,
siding and gutters on homes throughout the area. Today, Bella is
the largest residential roofing company in
Western Pennsylvania.
“We started out as a general contractor
and people kept referring us to their
friends and family,” said Andrew Bell,
Matt’s son and the marketing director for
the company. “We used to do kitchens
and interiors too, but there was a severe
hailstorm in 2013 that left a lot of people
needing emergency repairs. We stepped
up, and from that point on we’ve been
focused on exterior improvements.”
With a workload of roughly 600 jobs a
year, Bella Construction fast became and remains an expert provider
in emergency and non-emergency repairs for roofs, siding and
gutters. The staff has worked with hundreds of insurance claims and

“We do everything with asphalt
shingles and use IKO shingles exclusively,”
Andrew said. “They are the heaviest
shingle on the market, carry a lifetime
warranty and are considered the best
in the industry. Owens Corning has the
name people recognize, but as far as
actual product, side by side, IKO is the
better product. For siding, we favor the
Mastic brand, which is mostly vinyl. We’re certified with them as lead
installers in the area. In 1989, Mastic and the locally founded Alcoa
