CHECKING ACCOUNT BASICS
Improve your financial literacy with tips
from First National Bank on Wednesday,
Feb. 12, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Learn
about the basics of having a checking
account, how to get the most from it, and
how to protect yourself from overdraft
fees. This program is free to attend, but
registration is required.
COOKING CLASSES WITH CHEF CAROL
Northern Tier Library will host Chef
Carol Nardello at 6 p.m. on Tuesday
evenings for a new series of cooking
classes!

Classes are $40 each. There is a limit of
20 attendees, so advance registration and
payment are required. No refunds can be
issued for this program if a patron cannot

NORTHERN TIER USED BOOK SALE
Mark your calendars! The 2020 Used
Book Sale will be held from Thursday,
April 2, to Monday, April 6!
Volunteers are always needed for book
sale set-up and throughout the sale. If
interested, please stop by the library for

ZUMBA
Zumba is a strong cardio and muscular
workout, incorporating dances such
as merengue, salsa, hip-hop, and belly
dancing. Classes will run on Mondays,
Feb. 3 to 24, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
This program has a fee of $7 per class.

Get help with technology! We can help
with the basic skills in using computers,
smartphones, eReaders, and more. In
these one-on-one, 30-minute sessions, we
can focus on the specific skills you need.

BRIDGET’S BOOK CLUB
This Valentine’s Day, read the perfect
romance! This novel is warm, witty,
charming, and utterly enjoyable. The
main character, Evvie Drake, is a recent
widow who is struggling to adjust to life
without her husband. Her life gets more
interesting when Dean, a Major League
pitcher who is suffering from “the yips”
moves to town. Join Bridget’s Book Club
on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. for a
discussion of “Evvie Drake Starts Over” by
Linda Holmes.
CONVERSATION GROUP
The Conversation Group is a place to
share ideas and hear what others have to
say. Spirited conversation is guaranteed!
Join us on the library’s lower level on
Thursday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m.
KNIT LIT
Do you knit, crochet, or craft in any
way? If not, would you like to learn? Knit
Lit will meet on Thursday, Feb. 27, at
7 p.m. Beginners are invited to come and
learn; experienced crafters are invited to
bring a project to work on. Everyone is
encouraged to bring their latest read to
talk about. Registration is requested.
SPANISH CONVERSATION
Hablas español? Do you speak Spanish
or would you like to learn? We plan to
meet on Monday, Feb. 24, from 3 to
4:30 p.m. for a short lesson followed by
some conversation. Please register so we
know how many materials to prepare.
