option for child care this
spring when the region’s first Lightbridge Academy opens its doors.
Known as, The Solution for Working Parents®, Lightbridge Academy
will serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years old in a new state-of-
the-art facility. This location, which is currently under construction,
is the passion of Mia Fidei, Cara Clayton and Ted Yannotti, a father-
daughters team that bring a wealth of experience.
“Lightbridge Academy is a family business at its heart and their
core values as a company really aligned with ours,” said Cara. “The
child is the center and the heart of it all, and we believe in that
wholeheartedly.”
The Lightbridge Academy curriculum focuses on all areas of
a child’s growth, helping children to achieve their full potential.
By seeing the letters, signing the words and hearing sounds,
children learn through a multi-sensory approach. STREAM,
reading and writing readiness, music, Spanish, American Sign
Language are also included.
The goal is to cultivate a stimulating and nurturing
environment that expands the innate abilities of children
through various learning domains. Educators encourage
children with a “learning is fun” philosophy through play and
positive reinforcement to build upon the skills they acquire at
different stages of growth. Each classroom is designed with
age-appropriate learning centers to offer children the ability to
explore and learn academically and developmentally.
Lightbridge Academy will also be one of the only child
care centers in the region that uses ParentView® Internet
monitoring and a parent eCommunication app, which
provides parents with an ongoing connection during the
day, as well as back-up care, nutritious snacks, optional meal
plans, extended hours, in-house extra-curricular activities,
parent workshops, summer camps, occasional babysitting
nights for parents, and so much more!
