CKIDS Jewish Discovery Club

SOUTH ARTS PITTSBURGH TO HOST FALL ART EVENTS
South Arts Pittsburgh will host three fall art shows at the Schoolhouse Art & History Center located at 2600 South Park Road, Bethel Park.
The first will be Sunday, Oct. 5, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m., during the Bethel Park Historical Society’ s open house. A Halloween Bash & Art Market will follow on Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 9 p. m. with costumes, creepy fun and local art.
The season will conclude with a two-day Artist Market on Nov. 8 and 9 from 9 a. m.

The fundraiser supports Keynotes’ mission of awarding $ 16,000 in annual music scholarships to talented Allegheny County students, with more than $ 452,000 awarded since 1970.

CHECK OUT THE PHIPPS FALL FLOWER SHOW:‘ VISIONS OF JAPAN’
Opening Saturday, Oct. 4, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will celebrate the beauty of Japanese culture and chrysanthemums at its annual Fall Flower Show, Visions of Japan.
Visitors will enjoy colorful displays featuring a torii gate, cascading chrysanthemum pagoda, moon gate, dragon installation and more. Phipps has presented chrysanthemum shows since 1894, making this the nation’ s longestrunning fall flower tradition. The show runs through Oct. 26.
Also debuting Oct. 4 at the Garden Railroad is The Age of Dinosaurs, which will transport guests back to the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods with moving dinosaur figures, roars and prehistoric plant life. This exhibit will continue through March 8.
