The PT Marching band also took part in the Sept. 11 “Rally for America” held at PTHS. The Annual Peters Township Marching Band Festival was held on Sept. 24, and featured a Mixed Quartet singing the National Anthem as well as performances from several schools including Brashear, Carlynton, Hempfield, Jefferson-Morgan and University Prep High Schools. Later this season, they will be participating in the California University’s Homecoming Parade, to be held on Oct. 22, and the Peters Township Memorial Day Parade. The PT Mighty Indian Marching Band will proudly take the field during their next home game on Oct. 21 against Canon Mac. PTHS CHOIR TEACHER EARNS SPOT AS PA STATE REPRESENTATIVE FOR AEA Peters Township High School’s music teacher Ryan Perrotte was recently chosen to be the new PA state representative for the A Capella Education Association (AEA). Perrotte will represent PA with this national group for the next two school years, and will also be working with nationally recognized a capella directors and producers to promote a capella music and training.
