The Peters Township Public Library Board and Staff would like to thank everyone who helped to make our 15th Annual Taste of the Township, held on Apr. 29 at Valley Brook Country Club, a great success! The Taste of the Township Committee, with the leadership of Co-Chairs Margaret and Harry Verlato, spent many months preparing for this exciting evening. Over 300 persons gathered at Valley Brook Country Club to enjoy the very best menu items from 23 local restaurants and caterers. The Silent Auction, featuring 20 items for bidding, was a hit with the crowd, while ticket sales were brisk for a chance to win one of over 50 Chinese Auction baskets. Nearly 140 individuals, organizations, restaurants and businesses provided items for baskets and the Silent Auction. This year’s Taste of the Township raised more than $25,000 for the Friends of the Library, demonstrating the commitment and support our community has for their local public library. To the businesses, vendors, guests, volunteers and others who participated, we offer our sincere thanks! 18 Peters Township
