PV ’ S GOT TALENT
On November 7 , the stars came out for PV ’ s Got Talent , Pleasant Valley Elementary School ’ s annual student talent showcase . For two hours , 46 students in grades K-3 sang , danced , tumbled and entertained a packed auditorium of friends and family .
Each year the event serves to showcase the talents of students as well as support the community . The “ entry fee ” this year was donated canned goods for the local food bank . Overall , more than 460 canned goods and nearly $ 100 in cash were donated .
The show is organized each year by a committee of the school ’ s PTA along with parents Beth Santaguida , Kathryn Strong , Kim Davis , Chrissy Andersen and Alisha Peck , who headed the efforts . Staff members Stephanie Ali , Tim Cirincione and Kelly Zajicek served as “ judges ’ and cheered on students following each act .
“ Each year our students amaze us during PV ’ s Got Talent ,” says Principal and emcee of the show Dr . Greg Marquis . “ From the youngest kindergarten students to our experienced third graders , their courage and talents make us so proud .”
