Sportsmanship Award for PTHS

Events

The WPIAL Sportsmanship Committee has selected Peters
Township High School as one of five area schools to receive
the 2015-16 Sportsmanship Award. This is the second
consecutive year that the school has been chosen for this
honor. The award recognizes schools for their promotion and
demonstration of good sportsmanship during the fall, winter
and spring sports seasons.
“This type of award validates the work of a lot of people in
our schools,” said Athletic Director Brian Geyer. “Our students are
held to a high standard and they are supported by a dedicated
group of coaches, athletic department staff, parent volunteers,
building administrators and a District Administration and
School Board that values character and sportsmanship.”
Geyer accepted the award on the District’s behalf at the
WPIAL Sportsmanship Summit in November.
