Council Revises Alarm
Regulations
At its Regular Meeting on June 26, Peters Township Council enacted
Ordinance No. 817, revising the rules governing burglar and fire
alarm systems in Peters Township. Under the previous Alarm System
Ordinance, residents were to file an application with the Peters
Township Police Department prior to installing a burglar alarm system
and pay a fee of $25. This provision has now been eliminated, so
residents are free to install alarm systems provided that all burglar
alarms are kept in a state of good repair and all fire alarms comply
with the Uniform Construction Code, as well as applicable National
Fire Protection Association regulations. Under the newly adopted
