Love animals? Join us as we
celebrate our animal friends at the
library. Check out and/or adopt
a new pet friend, learn about pet
care and all things pet related. We’ll
be visited by local shelters, vets,
trainers, stores and more. Prizes
and giveaways for you and your
animal friend! Please bring a pet
supply donation for the Washington
County Humane Society, our local
shelter. Fun for the whole family!

to “The Peters Township Library
Foundation” via wccfgives.org and
all designated “WCCF Gives” check
contributions received at the library by
Sept. 13 will be increased by part of a
bonus pool, estimated to be $100,000.

Great Halloween Costume Swap
Saturday, Oct. 8, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
The Ware Family have attended the
swap for 3 years in a row and have found
costumes for the whole family!

The library’s GO Green Club will
host the 4th annual “Great Halloween
Costume Swap” on Saturday, Oct.
8 at the library. Persons interested
in participating can drop off gently
used costumes for children, teens or
adults on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6 to
7 p.m. or Friday, Oct. 7 from 3:30 to
5 p.m. Costumes should be in GREAT
condition. Participants will get a
token for each costume donated.
Return on Saturday, Oct. 8 from
9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with your token
and shop for a swap. Any costumes
and accessories remaining will be
donated to a local charity. Adult and
teen volunteers are needed on Friday
and Saturday to help with the swap.

Shredding at BBB’s
Secure Your ID Day
Saturday, Oct. 15,
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You are your best defense against
identify theft! The first rule of Identity
Protection – if you don’t need it, dispose
of it… responsibly.
The Better Business Bureau will offer
free on-site document destruction at
the library. BBB volunteers will guide
cars through a moving line, offload
their disposable items, shred them on
the spot and distribute goodie bags
with educational ID theft and fraud
prevention materials. Each vehicle may
dispose of a maximum of 3 boxes / bags
of paper-based materials.
