PENN HILLS ARTS FESTIVAL
After two years , the Penn Hills Arts Council will be able to hold its popular summertime festival . The Penn Hills Arts Festival will take place on July 15 , from 3:30 – 9 p . m ., and July 16 , from 1 – 9 p . m . This is the second largest event in Penn Hills , and attracted more than 900 attendees when it was last held in 2019 .

It has wonderful classes and events , including Chair Yoga , Tai Chi , Pinochle , Line Dancing , Bingo , Cooking Classes , and Craft Shows . There are also reasonably priced lunches at the center , including sliders , subs and boxed lunches .

PENN HILLS DOG PARK
Looking for a great place to take your best friend ? The Penn Hills Dog Park offers a nice area for your dog to run offleash , and is fenced with chicken wire . There are no restroom facilities on-site . And there is no water source , so you will need to bring water for your pet . It ’ s a lovely place that ’ s open daily from 9 a . m .– 6 p . m ., March through December , located at 1299 Jefferson Heights Road .

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION FOR ALLEGHENY COUNTY
Keynotes of South Hills is accepting applications for a music scholarship competition that will be held May 14 at the Fine Arts Theater of Mt . Lebanon High School . Cash awards totalling up to $ 12,000 will be awarded !
Requirements :
• Instrumentalists must be under 26 years of age by June 1 , 2022
• Vocalists must be under the age of 30 .
• The student must be a full-time music major at a college , university or music school , or a graduating high school senior accepted for admission as a full-time music major .
• Applicants must be a legal resident of Allegheny , Washington or surrounding counties of Pennsylvania for the past year .
