VERONA HISTORICAL SOCIETY PROGRAMS!
The historical society has great events and presentations throughout the year, as well as summer road trips.
The speakers series is held on several Thursday evenings at 7 p. m. in the Verona Municipal Building.
On April 17, Megan Adams will speak about the fascinating life of Evelyn Nesbit, a native of Tarentum, whose charms led to a deadly dual in New York between two prominent businessmen!
On May 15,“ Jewish History in the Verona and Sandy Creek Area” will be highlighted by Eric Lidji of Heinz History Center.
“ A Tribute to Coach Joe Zelek: Twin Borough Apaches and the Verona High School Panthers” will be presented by John Schaal on June 19.
You may also want to register for the Summer Road Trip taking place in June, when the historical society visits the Harmony Museum for a one-hour tour in Harmony, PA.

ROCKIN’ REGATTA!
Downtown Pittsburgh has been without its traditional regatta for a few years, but there will definitely be boats on the Allegheny River this summer in a rockin’ new event!
Pittsburgh Brewing Company will be the site of Rockin’ Regatta, June 7 & 8 at the company’ s tap room headquarters in Creighton.
