Three Norwin School Directors Recognized for Long-Term Service

t September’s school board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Jeff Taylor recognized three Norwin Board
of Education members who were added to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA)
Honor Roll for their long-term service to Norwin School District.
The honored members include:

Mr. Robert Perkins, 20 years’ board service;
•
Mr. Dennis Rittenhouse, 20 years’ board service; and
•
Mrs. Darlene Ciocca, 8 years’ board service.
Dr. Taylor presented each of them with a certificate and thanked them for their years of dedicated
volunteer service to children, the community, and public education.

Advertising revenue will be used to support educational programs and services. All
advertising is subject to the rules and regulations within Norwin School District Board
Policy 833 -- Approved Commercial Advertising, which can be viewed on the District
website under “Board” and “Policies.”
EDGEclick has been helping school districts place advertising on their websites since
2012 and currently works with more than two dozen Pittsburgh-area school districts.
Campaigns are being accepted now and can start as soon as January 1, 2020. If you

Substitute Teachers $105.00/day
Substitute School Nurses - RN certification required
$105.00/day
Substitute Health Room/Office Asst. - RN or LPN certification required
$13.75/hour
Substitute Cafeteria Workers (3 ½ to 4 ½ hrs/day)
$9.00/hour
Substitute Cafeteria Monitors (Approx. 2.25 hrs/day)
$8.00/hour
Substitute Custodian - all shifts - (4 to 8 hrs/day)
$9.80/hour
Substitute Secretary $9.30/hour
Substitute Teacher Certified and/or Emergency Certified Paraprofessionals
$13.00/hour
Substitute Non-Certified Paraprofessionals $10.00/hour
Substitute Emergency Certified Teachers (Must have a Bachelor’s Degree)

Background Checks. Interested individuals should log onto the District website at www.norwinsd.org, select the Human
Resource Department and click on the Job Postings and select the Online Job Application icon. After selecting the appropriate
job category (school nurse, food service worker, secretary, etc.) you will create a user name and password to start the online
application. You will express your interest in becoming a substitute within the appropriate application. For questions about
