Pink-Out Campaign Raises More Than $ 2,000 for Westmoreland Walks
The Norwin Student Council would like to thank the greater Norwin community for its tremendous support for the recent Pink-Out Campaign, which is designed to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
For several weeks, the Norwin Student Council sold Pink T-Shirts in a District-wide campaign to raise money for Westmoreland Walks, a local county organization dedicated to serving individuals in Westmoreland County who have been affected by breast cancer.
Students showed their support for the Pink-Out campaign by wearing their shirts to school and at the seventh-annual Pink-Out Football Game October 7, 2016. During the halftime ceremony at the football game, there was a special check presentation to Westmoreland Walks. Because of community support, the Norwin Student Council was able to raise more than $ 2,000 for Westmoreland Walks.
Norwin High School Theatre Company Produces Rodgers and Hammerstein’ s Cinderella

The Norwin High School Theatre Company was excited to stage Rodgers and Hammerstein’ s Cinderella November 3 – 6, 2016. The production consisted of more than 80 students and crew members and was a delightful show for all ages. The Tony Award-winning musical from the creators of South Pacific and The Sound of Music has delighted audiences with its surprisingly contemporary take on the classic tale. Audiences rediscovered some of Rodgers and Hammerstein ' s most beloved songs, including " In My Own Little Corner," " Impossible / It ' s Possible " and " Ten Minutes Ago " in this hilarious and romantic experience for anyone who ' s ever had a dream. Lauren Scheirer was the Director / Producer, and Erin Shrader was Co-Director and Choreographer. The Technical Director was Todd Leighty. Congratulations to all involved for a great show.
