SECOND ANNUAL FOOD TRUCK-A-PALOOZA The second-annual Food Truck-a-Palooza drove into Monroeville in early March. Some of the proceeds went toward assisting a local volunteer fire station. This year’s event was bigger and better than the first, with 32 food trucks from around the region gathering at the Monroeville Convention Center. 4 724.942.0940 TO ADVERTISE ❘ The first indoor food truck event drew 3,000 people, 28 food trucks and $2,000 was donated to Monroeville Volunteer Fire Station #6. Food trucks that participated in Food Truck- a-Palooza included Burgh Bites, Fantastic Food, South Side BBQ, Doce Taqueria, PHG Halal Foods and many others. Stage Right Student Company ended this year’s season with the following productions. The teen group (ages 13 to 18) performed the Ahrens and Flaherty musical mash- up of Dr. Seuss’s most beloved stories, “Seussical,” while the preteen group (ages 8 to 12) performed the movie turned musical “Hairspray, Jr.” These fully produced productions were held at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center June 1-3. The casts were entirely made up of Stage Right students icmags.com working with a professional production staff, which also included student assistants. “Seussical” featured three different casts of leads and was directed by Tony Marino, choreographed by Renata Marino and Ben Pimental, and musically directed by Christopher McAllister. “Hairspray, Jr.” was directed by Renata Marino, musically directed by Nick Lenz and assisted by Ben Pimental. Maya Bhatnagar, a Stage Right senior who is going to Shenandoah University for Stage Management this fall, was the Student Director for both productions.
