District Welcomes Dr . Lisa Duval as New Director of Human Resources & Accountability
At the Norwin Board of Education ’ s August 15 , 2022 Meeting , the Board hired Dr . Lisa Duval as Norwin School District Director of Human Resources & Accountability .
Dr . Duval has been an educator for over 20 years with most of her experience at South Allegheny School District where she most recently served as Superintendent . In addition to her duties as Superintendent , she was responsible for the district ’ s Human Resources and School Safety departments . orwin

Earning her Doctorate of Education and Superintendent ’ s Letter of Eligibility from Indiana University of Pennsylvania , she also holds a master ’ s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Drexel University and earned a bachelor ’ s degree from The Pennsylvania State University College of Education in Elementary Education .
Dr . Duval has a wide range of administrative and teaching experiences , including serving as the High School Principal for the Steel Valley School District , a position she held prior to becoming Superintendent for the South Allegheny School District . At South Allegheny School District , she served as both the Secondary Supervising Principal and Middle School Principal , as well as Dean of Students for grades 7-12 .
In addition to her professional experience , Dr . Duval is an active member of the School Superintendent ’ s Association ( AASA ) and the PA Association of School Administrators ( PASA ). She has received numerous awards and grants , including PA Schools to Watch Designation , PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency Meritorious Grant , and the Safe Schools Grant .

Dr . Jeff Taylor , Norwin Superintendent , said he looks forward to Dr . Duval ’ s contributions to Norwin School District . Dr . Duval was the recommended candidate after a team consisting of central office administrators , building principals , and staff interviewed candidates for the position .
The entire interview team was very impressed with Dr . Duval and her overall interview .
