SUPERINTENDENT ’ S MESSAGE
Dear Franklin Regional Community ,
As the holiday season becomes a cherished memory , we find ourselves reflecting on the many ways our Franklin Regional community came together to celebrate , inspire , and give back . The “ signs of the season ” were everywhere — in the talent of our students , the camaraderie of our teams , and the generosity that touched so many lives .
Music that Inspired
Our holiday concerts , performed by the choir , band , and orchestra , were a beautiful showcase of our students ’ creativity and dedication . These performances filled the air with joy and reminded us of the power of music to connect us all . Those who attended left inspired , carrying with them the warmth of the season .
Athletics with a Purpose
The Michael Rettger Memorial Basketball Tournament is more than a celebration of athletic skill — it ’ s a meaningful tradition that reflects the heart of our community . Each year , the Michael Rettger Foundation collects toys for children in need and awards scholarships to one boy and one girl basketball player , honoring their dedication and character . This event embodies the true spirit of teamwork , both on and off the court .
Philanthropy in Action
Generosity defined this season at Franklin Regional . The 21st Franklin Regional Telethon united our schools in supporting the Mini-Thon club ’ s efforts to combat pediatric cancer . Events like the Turkey Cup Challenge , Penny Wars , and community drives provided critical support to local families and organizations , proving that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact .
A Community United
This holiday season , Franklin Regional was filled with moments of excellence , empathy , and connection . Whether it was the applause after a student performance , the cheers for a winning play , or the quiet impact of a heartfelt donation , our students and staff exemplified the values that make our community special .
Thank you for supporting our students , staff , and programs . Together , we create opportunities that make Franklin Regional a place where generosity meets excellence , and where every gift — whether it ’ s a note in a melody , a cheer from the stands , or a helping hand — makes our community stronger .
Wishing you all the best in the New Year ,
