STUDENTS
TAKE VR
TOUR OF
SPAIN
Students in Ms.
Trenessa Smolleck’s FRSH Spanish 3 class, took a
tour of Spain using Virtual Reality visors. Students
were learning by describing, comparing, and
contrasting cities and towns in Barcelona, Spain.
Using Virtual Reality, students were able to
"visit" Spain, using Google Expeditions. The class
"visited" several cities and towns in Spain. The
students were able to explain what they saw and
heard as Ms. Smolleck acted as the tour guide
speaking in Spanish.
Students conducted large and small group
discussions. The objective was to answer the
following questions: Where is it? What is it like
there? What destinations/places can you find
there? What do people do there?
Students wrapped up the learning experience
by discussing the cities, comparing and contrasting
them to each other and to the student ’s own
hometowns as well as the United States in general.
