Dear Franklin Regional Community,
At Franklin Regional, we believe that education is about much more than academic achievement. It is about helping students discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and develop the knowledge, skills, and character needed to thrive in life. Through our commitment to the 3 A’ s— Academics, Arts, and Athletics— we strive to provide a balanced, world-class educational experience that prepares students to become thoughtful citizens, innovative problem-solvers, and future leaders.
One of the greatest strengths of a Franklin Regional education is the way learning extends beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Whether students are solving complex mathematical problems, performing on stage, competing on the athletic field, or creating original works of art, they are developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and perseverance. These experiences help students connect what they learn in school to the world around them and prepare them for success long after graduation. This spring provided several outstanding examples of that approach in action. A group of Franklin Regional fifth-grade students participated in a unique regional project through Wonder Media, collaborating with students from nine other school districts to create Finding Alice in Wonderland, an animated film focused on mental health awareness. As the only elementary-aged participants in the initiative, our students worked alongside industry professionals to develop characters, write dialogue, provide voice acting, and contribute to the creative storytelling process. The film premiered on May 22, demonstrating the power of creativity, collaboration, and student voice while addressing an important issue facing young people today.
Franklin Regional also welcomed more than 250 students, families, and community members to our annual Remake Learning Night. The event brought together nearly 30 community and educational partners to provide hands-on STREAM( Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning experiences. Students designed and tested structures, explored environmental challenges, engaged with emerging technologies, and experienced multicultural performances that broadened their understanding of the world. More importantly, they learned how curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving can help address real-world challenges.
These experiences reflect our broader commitment to providing meaningful opportunities that inspire students to explore, create, and grow. They also highlight the tremendous support we receive from our families, staff, community partners, and volunteers who help make these opportunities possible.
As we reflect on another successful school year, we are proud of our students and grateful for the dedication of our teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, and community members. Together, we continue to build a culture of excellence that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
