Murrysville Community Park is located at 4056 Wiestertown Road Export, PA 15632. The AVTT is a veteran-owned project committed to traveling the USA to honor, respect, and remembers those who served, and pay specific tribute to those who gave all. The AVTT Traveling Wall is an 80 percent scale version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. Across its 360-foot length, the wall contains every single name etched on the original. At its apex the memorial is an impressive eight-foot tall. Guests of all ages from all communities are invited to visit the Wall. Name locator information and wall rubbing sheets to capture the etchings of names will be available. Upon its arrival, the AVTT Traveling Wall will be open to the public 24/7 during the five days it is in Murrysville and guests from all communities are invited to visit and pay respects to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. with closing ceremonies being held on Sunday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. School field trips and community bus trips can be coordinated. Veterans’ service organizations will provide wreath laying ceremonies during evenings and on Saturday and Sunday.
