American Veterans Traveling
Tribute & Traveling Vietnam Wall
Coming to Murrysville
T
he American Veterans Traveling Tribute and Traveling (AVTT) Vietnam
Wall will visit Murrysville Community Park from Wednesday, October 10
to Sunday, October 14. Murrysville Community Park is located at 4056
Wiestertown Road Export, PA 15632. The AVTT is a veteran-owned project
committed to traveling the USA to honor, respect, and remembers those who
served, and pay specific tribute to those who gave all.
The AVTT Traveling Wall is an 80 percent scale version of the Vietnam Memorial
Wall in Washington D.C. Across its 360-foot length, the wall contains every single
name etched on the original. At its apex the memorial is an impressive eight-foot
tall. Guests of all ages from all communities are invited to visit the Wall. Name
locator information and wall rubbing sheets to capture the etchings of names will
be available.
Upon its arrival, the AVTT Traveling Wall will be open to the public 24/7 during
the five days it is in Murrysville and guests from all communities are invited to visit
and pay respects to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. with
closing ceremonies being held on Sunday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. School field trips
and community bus trips can be coordinated. Veterans’ service organizations will
provide wreath laying ceremonies
during evenings and on Saturday
and Sunday. Anyone wishing to
