On Sept . 25 Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania celebrated the grand opening of the first Goodwill Opportunity Center in Pittsburgh ’ s South Side . The event — held at 2700 East Carson Street — began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from special guests .
Attendees enjoyed light refreshments and learned about the new center ’ s offerings , including GED classes , a Digital Skills / Tech Academy , job readiness programs , and services for individuals with disabilities . Goodwill ’ s leaders expressed enthusiasm for expanding access to critical job training and community services in the region .
