Paper Clay Spirit Animals
1 p.m., Wednesdays,
September 20-October 4
Artist Katy DeMent of the Society for
Contemporary Craft will teach this three-
part workshop on Paper Clay Spirit Animal
construction. The supplies will be provided
and artwork will be fired at the Society
for Contemporary Craft. Space is limited;
register at the library or 412.531.1912.

Week 1: Discuss animal traits, look at
and collecting data for real-world science.
Monarch butterflies have one of the most
amazing migrations of any animal, But they
are facing steep challenges. We can help by
making our yards more monarch-friendly
and by participating in Monarch Larva
Monitoring. Come learn about this
fascinating butterfly, its life cycle, and the
milkweeds that it depends upon.

Pet Show
7 p.m., Tuesday, August 8
Show off your furry, feathered or scaly
friend at Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s
annual Pet Show. Register in the children’s
department starting July 18. Every pet goes
home a winner!
Family Drive-In Theater
1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 20
Transform a cardboard box into a car and
then chill-out in your awesome creation
to watch a movie while enjoying snacks
from the library’s concession stand.
