VOLUNTEERFOCUS
WIL FORD
Wil Ford started volunteering at Mt.
Lebanon Public Library in 2016 after
he answered an ad in the Friends
newsletter and was subsequently
recruited as a garden volunteer. Wil is no
stranger to giving his time: in the past 20
years he’s done a lot of volunteering as
a Penn State Master Gardener teaching
gardening classes, answering questions
on garden hotlines, and community
garden projects.
Q: Favorite part of volunteering?
A: The satisfaction of completed
projects and compliments of the
library patrons.
Q: What keeps you coming back?
A: Returning to the gardens every
Monday is always a pleasure
because of the camaraderie with the
other volunteers, a great group of
dedicated gardeners.
